The most admired air-defense system of our era is remembered for its dome — yet the dome’s makers did not build the radar beneath it. Radar, the ability to see incoming objects, had existed for decades. The genius lived in the layer above: deciding, in real time, which threats would actually strike something that mattered, ignoring the rest, and acting only on what counted.
By design, the defensive layers most institutions run — endpoint protection, perimeter controls, monitoring platforms — are scoped inward: each watches the estate it sits in. That is what they are built to do, and the best of them do it superbly. The radars are state of the art. Yet a posture assembled entirely from inward-looking layers ends exactly where detection ends: drowning in what it sees, overwhelmed by what it gathers, and without a layer whose job is to act and deter.

These people are, by nature, expensive, scarce, and hard to keep — and the good ones must know not only the platform, but the industry and the geography their institution operates in. When one leaves, their judgment leaves with them.
The Domus Crew is our first answer: a specialized crew — human expertise equipped with machine learning and automation — that is always monitoring and always helping the personnel responsible for an installed SIEM. Why Industry Is Not A Detail

A signal that is routine in one industry is an emergency in another. What must be reported, to whom, how fast, and in what form is defined not by technology but by the industry you are in and the geography you operate from. A generic defense — one that behaves identically for a hospital, a refinery, and a bank — is not neutral. It is wrong for all three.
